Welcome to Riverside!

We are a diverse congregation meeting in the heart of our city. We come from neighborhoods all over Genesee County, continuing a legacy begun in 1927 – HELPING PEOPLE FOLLOW CHRIST. Move around our site and discover how people of all ages and backgrounds, empowered by the Holy Spirit, have become partners in the meaningful purposes of God in downtown Flint.

At Riverside, you will find uplifting music and worship, encouraging and practical messages, Christ followers walking out the journey together as family, platforms for discovering and growing in God’s design and purpose, and many opportunities to serve.

There is a greatness and fulfillment that only comes from following Jesus Christ – we would love to be a part of your faith journey – discovering, growing, and serving together in this city that He treasures. We pray we’ll get to meet you soon!

How do I get to Riverside?
Riverside is located at 429 NB Chavez Drive in downtown Flint, between 2nd Street and Kearsley, across I-475 from the University of
Michigan-Flint. Click here to get directions.

What are the services like?
Riverside’s Sunday service is a celebration of God’s mercy and faithfulness. We understand that worship is both a corporate and
individual experience, and we seek to facilitate a meaningful, anointed atmosphere of praise and worship using various styles of
music, from traditional to contemporary.  Each service includes opportunities for personal prayer, and a practical, encouraging message
from God’s Word.
What should I wear?
We believe in modesty and decency, but there is no dress code at Riverside. Some come in their “Sunday Best”, some come in more
casual attire, some come in jeans and t-shirts. It’s really up to you.

How long should I plan to be there?
Our Sunday School hour, which is our primary Christian Education focus, begins at 9:15 am, with classes for every age group, from
Nursery (birth – age 2) through our Adult Electives. Our Morning Worship service begins at 10:30 am, and usually lasts about an hour and
a half.  If you’re worshipping with  us for the first time, stop by the Welcome Center in the main foyer after the service for a free gift.
ALSO … be sure to meet Pastor Tom and Rhonda before you leave!

What about my children?
Special services and groups are provided for the unique needs of children in each service. Visit our Children’s Ministry page for more
